Description:
Expansion Of The Universe by Daryl B. Leach won Third Place - Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted (Sponsored by Husqvarna Viking) at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2024. The title is very apropos, as when you look at the center of the central medallion of the quilt and move outward it's as if the universe would be begin from that point and grow and grow infinitely from there on, only confined in this case by the checker boarded corners of Daryl's work. The quilt was designed using Sarah Vedeler's Yellow Submarine pattern.
Quilting Method: Stationary Machine
Quilting Technique: Appliqué (Machine), Appliqué (Raw Edge), Computer Assisted, Embroidery (Digitized), Embroidery (Machine), Piecing (Machine)
Design Source: Yellow Submarine pattern by Sarah Vedeler, Meaning of Life Deisgns, 2022
