Love You to Pieces - Using a photograph of my 6 yo daughter (sporting a straw hat and braids), I used Tammie Bowser's software program to scan the image into my computer and break it down into 6,140
1" squares. I then selected fabric which I arranged according to value and fused them onto a plain grid and sewed it all together. It was the neatest process because any color of fabric will work as long as the value is correct. I was awarded 1st place in the Textiles category for a local competition and then went on to win Best of Show against all categories in the next round. I proudly display this work of art in my home (and I can't even draw a stick figure person)!
