I am finished with month seven (because I used the June block for all my borders). I’m thinking of skipping the next two borders in the pattern (6” & 3”j. I will keep the narrow brown border from month seven but am thinking about a 4” or 6” inch, piano key border (2” finished keys) using all the colors in the kit with one of the corner squares from the pattern. I know a shop that stocks the fabric so would be able to get more if needed. I would be interested in feedback on this decision. Please give your reason pro and con. Barbara your comments and Beckys have given me encouragement to deviate from the pattern. I’m a firm rule follower so this will be a chance to do something different.

I like your idea. Make the quilt your own. Either 4” or 6” wide work, decide which gives you the size you want. Enjoy the journey!
