Alex spoke with veteran Andrew Lee about his quilt Shock and Awe at the International Quilt Festival in Houston 2019. Andrew discovered quilting as a therapy to help with PTSD. Andrew works with Quilts of Valor and was going to present a quilt on the day of this interview.

Alex also talks with Andrew and his wife about quilting and gets a peek at the studio they share.

Thank you for your service Andrew and thank you for sharing your quilt with TQS.

I love the quilting motif of dog tags. My father prized his dog tags as a tangible reminder of his commitment to service and unrelenting patriotism. We all need to keep the ideals of service and true patriotism In heart and mind.
