Description:
Constructed with 12" blocks on point, Star White, Flower Delight gives the appearance of combining appliqued blocks with the pieced blocks. Actually, the entire quilt is machine pieced, with the star blocks paper-pieced. All blocks are original with the exception of the eight-pointed stars, which were adapted from the "California Star" in Carol Doak's 50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars. (Two lines were tweeked and one eliminated.) In the original four pointed star block tne use of a Louise Nadelstern fabric greatly enhanced the design.
The quilt was raffled for funding the African Province of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and subsequectly sold at a Craft Fair.
