My husband got tired of lots of pillows on the bed so I decided some time ago to make one very large pillow and this was the result.

Large colorful hexie pillow abouit 20" x 28". I enjoy making hexagons and this particular little bundle called my name. As with most of my projects, I did not have a plan so I just played until I came up with a design I liked. After sewing each hexie by machine with a buttonhole stitch I laid them out in a pleasing manner not measuring, just eye balling. Because I didn't measure the quilting isn't perfect, but that's okay with me. I also had no idea where I was going with the quilting so I simply ended each line in space so to speak. Finally added a bit of rick rack to give it a bit of a frame. I really liked the end result and my husband is happy :).
