Jan Hutchison drew a picture in high school that became her lovely and lively quilt, Bringing Down the House, featuring an all ladies band...the ladies being just a "few" years out of high school. Jan's quilt won 1st Place in the Fantasy/Whimsy category at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Anyone For Gelato?

"Gelato Girls" by Leni Levenson Wiener

Gelato Girls is a piece from Leni's "Park Bench Stories" exhibit. Leni writes of the quilt, "I am a park bench. I am no different whether I reside in New York, Santa Fe, Venice, Prague, Vienna or in any small town anywhere in the world. I remain in place all seasons of the year, in all weather, year after year, gazing at the same scenery. People come to visit me–some are regular visitors, some pass my way but once."
