From the International Quilt Museum:
"Join the International Quilt Museum for a discussion with Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi about her outstanding collection of quilts featured in the newly opened exhibition, Uncovering Black History: Quilts From The Collection of Carolyn Mazloomi. Mazloomi, a collector, scholar, and maker, sought work by artists with powerful voices as she built her collection. Their quilts present a variety of Black experiences, some celebrating the achievements of artists, poets, and adventurers, and others protesting the pervasive and harmful racism directed towards people of color in American society."
This Textile Talk takes place, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Future installments are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
The video will be recorded and will be able to view later.
