Textile Talks: Contemporary Curves by Audrey Esarey

You may have seen Audrey Esarey's quilts featured on our site a time or two. There is a reason for that, as her quilts, often circular in nature, are stunning examples of the Modern Quilt movement. In this Wednesday's Textile Talk, you will get a glimpse of those quilts and more as the National Quilt Museum presents Contemporary Curves"a collection of quilts exploring circular shapes and dynamic, high-contrast colors made by Audrey Esarey. The quilts featured in this exhibit are primarily from three ongoing series: Radial Quilts, Watercolor Quilts, and Aura Quilts." Register today and watch when this episode airs this Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 2 PM EDT.

From The National Quilt Museum:

"Contemporary Curves is a collection of quilts exploring circular shapes and dynamic, high-contrast colors made by Audrey Esarey. The quilts featured in this exhibit are primarily from three ongoing series: Radial Quilts, Watercolor Quilts, and Aura Quilts. All works are carefully drafted, pieced, and quilted without using appliqué, and many feature fabrics hand dyed by Audrey."

This Textile Talk takes place, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Future installments are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.

The video will be recorded and will be able to view later.
