"The International Quilt Museum presents An Evolving Vision: From the Studio. The exhibition, developed as a part of the IQM’s 25th anniversary celebration, highlights the Robert and Ardis James Collection’s studio art quilts, acquired with guidance by Michael Kile, a San Francisco quilt dealer and Penny McMorris, a corporate art curator.

 

The July 13th Textile Talk, hosted by Carolyn Ducey, the Ardis B. James Curator of Collections, will feature segments of a recorded conversation with McMorris as she reflects on the experimentation and exploration of the 1970s as artists embraced the studio quilt genre, and her role in developing seminal group of early studio quilts."

 

This Textile Talk takes place, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Future installments are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
