The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Under The Sea" by Jaimie Davis
Do a puzzle of Jaimie Davis' quilt, Under The Sea.
This is the third iteration of Jaimie's Under The Sea quilt. The first iteration she had almost all done, except for the fish, when she decided it wasn't working for her. So except for a small portion on the right, she threw the entire thing away. Starting the quilt over, she felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders because now she knew what to do. Coming from science, and looking at her quilts as experiments, Jaimie knew going in that her quilt did not need to be perfect initially. Knowing what she did wrong the first time, she looks at this quilt, and all her quilts now, as not what she made or did, but what she learned.
