The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Starflake" by Blair Stocker
Do a puzzle of Blair Stocker's quilt, Starflake.
Starflake was made entirely out of fabric from Blair's scrap bins, which she keeps organized by color. Since the bins were overflowing at the time she was making this quilt, she saw this as a sign and decided to pull all the green scraps, divide them into value groups, and create the blocks utilized in the quilt. The only reason there is a pink edge in the corner is because Blair had run out of green by that point, so she pulled from the pink scrap bin and kept going. All the fabrics used in the quilt are divided up into dark, medium, and light value groups.
