The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Rhapsody in Green" by Jamie Wallen

Do a puzzle of Jamie Wallen's quilt, Rhapsody in Green.

 
Rhapsody in Green is a fairly small piece for Jamie, and was made from a piece of hand dyed Dupioni silk and quilted with metallic thread. It was made in the midst of many customer quilts that he working on at the time, at a point where he needed a break. So he put the piece on his machine to play with and a beautiful quilt was born.

I remembered how my grandmother taught me to assemble patches so that every color found its place. Now I do the same in my work, only instead of fabric, I use push traffic, where you need to build a campaign so that everything looks cohesive....

I remembered how my grandmother taught me to assemble patches so that every color found its place. Now I do the same in my work, only instead of fabric, I use push traffic, where you need to build a campaign so that everything looks cohesive. When I first searched for more information , I felt like I belonged: as if I were putting together not just an advertisement, but a puzzle that was coming to life. And in both cases, the key is to see the whole picture.
