The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Reflections" by Carol Ann Waugh
Do a puzzle of Carol Ann Waugh's group of quilts, Reflections.
Reflections is a group of four quilts by Carol that hang side-by-side next to each other that feature hand-dyed and painted fabric. She chose to paint and hand-dye her fabric because she wasn't finding the fabric she was looking for in a store. For Reflections, Carol wanted to have both the vertical lines and the horizontal lines separated out, meaning the dyed and painted fabric design moves vertically and the stitching horizontally. As a result of this, the piece gets more and more complex as you move up and down each quilt.
