The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Painted Forest" by Scott Hansen
Do a puzzle of Scott Hansen's quilt, Painted Forest.
Painted Forest started out as a feather quilt that Scott was trying to make for Michael Miller fabrics. After his first try at making a "feather", he stood back and decided that it looked more like a tree. So he leaned into the tree idea and created three different tree styles that he could mix and match throughout the quilt. In his words, they're not perfect because trees aren't perfect. Scott then made a pattern of the quilt and it has become his most popular pattern, outselling all of his others.
