The Quilt Show Puzzle: "My Family" by Lynette Anderson
Do a puzzle of Lynette Anderson's quilt, My Family.
Featuring redwork, hand embroidery, and English paper pieced triangle borders, My Family was made by Lynette as a way to celebrate her, and everyone else's, family. Using the tree as the central motif, as Lynette does in many of her quilts, it depicts a family happily gathered underneath it. However, since this is a quilt that can be made to celebrate everyone's families, the people are not present underneath the tree in the pattern. Instead, the maker can choose to put their own family, their children's or grandchildren's drawings, or whatever else they would like that represents their brood.
