The Quilt Show Puzzle: "La Tempete" by Michael James
Do a puzzle of Michael James' quilt, La Tempete.
La Tempete is from a group of strip pieced quilts that Michael made in the early 1980s. It was made at a point in his career, specifically 1983, where he was both piecing and quilting his quilts by machine. La Tempete, which translates in English to "the storm", features strips that are sewn as long lengths and then cut up, which can only really be pieced by machine.
