The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Joseph's Coat" by Lynette S. Warren
Do a puzzle of Lynette S. Warren's quilt, Joseph's Coat.
Knowing that quilt's have traditional names, even biblical ones, Lynette named this quilt, Joseph's Coat, after the traditional Joseph's Coat pattern on which it was based. Again using batik fabrics as her fabric of choice to give her quilt a Modern edge, Lynette made the effort to try and not repeat a batik choice among the many, many pieces used throughout the quilt to present a vibrant and colorful creation. To achieve this effect, and to give off a scrappy feel, Lynette only bought her batiks a quarter-of-a-yard at a time.
