The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Effervescence" by Lisa Ellis
Do a puzzle of Lisa Ellis' quilt, Effervescence.
Effervescence is a silk quilt made for Pokey Bolton's tribute exhibit to Yvonne Porcella, Live Your Brightest Life, after she had passed. The criteria for the exhibit was the artist was asked to make a quilt in Yvonne's style aesthetic, but in their own way. For Effervescence, which uses Yvonne's color palette, Lisa says, "This quilt was constructed using my own method for making a mock Cathedral Window block. It is made on a domestic sewing machine and is quilted. The overlapping circles remind me of champagne bubbles."
