The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Designer Star" by Lee Chappell Monroe
Do a puzzle of Lee Chappell Monroe's quilt, Designer Star.
Designer Star is Lee's very first pattern, and was made with bright, bright colors and Kaffe Fassett fabric. It was actually designed because after Lee taught her first class on choosing fabric her students wanted to know what her next class was and she didn't have one. So, she made Designer Star for her second class as a pattern for people to play with light and color when making it. Lee says, "The Designer Star was originally designed for a bundle of fabric I received from designer Laurie Wisburn."
