The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Century Folk Art Basket" by Carolyn Konig
Do a puzzle of Carolyn Konig's quilt, Century Folk Art Basket.
Carolyn says of Century Folk Art Basket, also known as the 19th Century Folk Art Quilt, "This beautiful quilt was first seen at the International Quilt Show in Houston in 2009, the maker is unknown. The quilt was originally made in England and is an English style design made with many scraps of fabric. The quilt was sold at Christie’s Auction house and now resides in the USA." The quilt was made by Carolyn using a series of photographs she took of the original back in Houston, making it as close to the original as possible with the style of the baskets, the appliqué, the embroidery, and so on, finishing the binding when she returned to America in 2013.
