The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Branches Red" by Sherri Lipman McCauley
Do a puzzle of Sherri Lipman McCauley's quilt, Branches Red.
Branches Red is the first in a series of quilts that Sherri did called Branches of the Color Wheel. She started with red and then went through orange, yellow, and so on. She painted it while it was hung in her kitchen, with the black portion painted using a syringe. When painting with the syringe, Sherri wasn't really thinking about where the paint would go, but rather the fun she was having, working in the moment and letting the paint and the syringe lead her to where she needed to go.
