The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Batik Triple Tulips" by Lynette S. Warren
Do a puzzle of Lynette S. Warren's quilt, Batik Triple Tulips.
Batik Triple Tulips was created from a traditional pattern that Lynette found in a book by Dolores Hinson. Lynette likes to do a scrappy look when it comes to traditional quilts, meaning not every piece of fabric has to match or be cohesive. For example, the stems of the tulips are two different pieces of fabric, and she utilized different and diverse batiks throughout the quilt to deviate from a traditional feel. To put her own spin on the quilt, she added some borders that weren't in the original pattern.
