The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Batik Sunflowers" by Lynette S. Warren
Do a puzzle of Lynette S. Warren's quilt, Batik Sunflowers.
Batik Sunflowers is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. The reason for all the handwork, even though she owns three sewing machines, is Lynette just loves to work by hand, and the feeling of accomplishment she gets after completing something by hand she says is second-to-none. Batik Sunflowers design comes from a traditional pattern that Lynette found in a quilt book, and is made Modern through her use of batik fabrics.
