The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Apple Core" by Cynthia England
Do a puzzle of Cynthia England's quilt, Apple Core.
Apple Core got its start from the fabric used in the big sashing areas in the quilt. When she makes a traditional quilt, Cynthia usually finds a focus fabric and pulls fabrics to go with it. In the case of Apple Core, it was that initial sashing fabric that drew Cynthia into making the quilt. The center blocks where the sashing all comes together are 6" finished blocks that, when making the quilt yourself, are interchangeable. The quilting was done by Denise Green from League City, Texas.
