The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Am I The Last...?" by Sheila Frampton Cooper
Do a puzzle of Sheila Frampton Cooper's quilt, Am I The Last...?.
Am I The Last...? is a painted quilt that traveled to the UK, Europe, and the International Quilt Museum as part of an exhibition curated by Luana Rubin called For the Love of Gaia. For the exhibit, every artist was invited to make a piece that expressed their concerns for the planet, the environment, and climate change. Sheila loves the ocean and fish, so her piece was inspired by the coral reefs. It shows one little lonely fish searching the sea to see if there are any more like itself, or if it is the last. Sheila sees it as representing hope, and the hope that we never reach that place.
