Quilt Donations for Those Impacted by the Maui Fire

The Maui Quilt Shop is trying to do its part to assist the victims by collecting finished quilts to donate to those who have been impacted by the big Maui Fire.  Thankfully the Maui Quilt Shop is outside of the impacted area but, as you know, many lives were lost, and hundreds of businesses and many more homes were burned to the ground. Many thousands of people are displaced without any possessions or a place to stay. Learn more about how you can donate to this worthy cause.

The Maui Quilt Shop is collecting finished quilts of any size to pass on to the victims, most of whom only have the clothes they were wearing when the massive fire hit. Marilyn, the Quilt Shop owner, is committed to collecting the quilts and assuring that the quilts land in the right hands, either directly to the victims or through a reputable agency to pass on.

You can send your finished quilts to the address listed below:

For those of you who have asked. The quilt shop has said that "gently used" quilts should be okay. No rips or tears, etc. They would like bed size quilts 50" x 60" or larger.

Also, they said that it is okay to travel to Maui, in fact they encourage it as the other side of the island still needs tourists to sustain the economy.

Please pass the word on to other quilters. Thank you for your support!

Please correct the confusion on the addresses. The zip codes above are different. One is for HI 96703 and one is for Maui 96793. Our guild is sending a pkg as soon as we have clarification on the address.

Thank you for posting how to donate finished quilts. I just wondered which address is correct. It's showing two different addresses to send the quilts to.
Thanks for letting everyone know
