Tuesday was our first day of taping new shows! Each day we film two future shows, every one with its own "Guest Star" who shares their quilting story and teaches us one or two of their techniques.

Read below to see who yesterday's "Guest Stars" were and what they shared, and learn who will be joining us today.

SECRET MYSTERY GUEST
Our very first Guest Star was the designer of our 2024 Block of the Month Quilt!

Our Designer showed how they used templates for piecing the quilt, and then demonstrated the way they embellished it - we haven't had a Block of the Month Quilt that used this type of embellishment before! Finally, they demonstrated some helpful hand piecing techniques.

MARY KERR
showed ways to reimagine those vintage quilt blocks you can't bear to part with, and how to make small projects with tiny scraps of leftover vintage fabric. Finally, she shared some of the history and stories from the beautiful Southern Quilts in her recent book by the same name.
