Featured Quilt - It's All About the Silk
Kimberly Lacy loves silk and her latest award-winning quilt is made up of just that. Her quilt, Window to my Silken Soul!, went on to win Best Interpretation of Theme in the Innovative category at this year’s Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival XXXIV 2023. The theme was Heart & Soul.

In Month 9 of the 2023 TQS BOM, Homeward
Bound, it's time to add the birds and leaves to the borders and then stitch them to the center of the quilt.

"Star Silhouettes" by Diane Harris
Star Silhouettes was featured on the cover of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine and was quilted by Julie Lechner. During the first months of the pandemic, Diane hosted an online event for quilters to come and hang out for an hour on Sunday afternoons. Making the event complimentary, it filled up quickly and Diane realized the participants were expecting content. She began to work on ideas that she could share with the group about scraps and the quarter star unit, or "Star Quar", which is just one-quarter of a basic star block, featured in Star Silhouettes was one of the blocks Diane played around with and expanded into this quilt for the group.
