Featured Quilt - This Quilt Will Put a Spell On You
Just in time for Halloween tomorrow, we're bringing you a delightfully spooky quilt from a past TQS guest that some quilters might just draw parallels with. Originally released as four individual embroidered patterns, The Mystery of the Salem Quilt Guild is Meg Hawkey's celebration of the quilt guilds she's been a part of and worked with themed to the spirit of the Halloween season. With the "witches" drawn by Meg herself, she began to, whether intentionally or not, recognize the different types of guild members she's been with over the years and saw them start to come to life in this quilt, hence the title. Not to be overlooked either is the spooky quilting, including creative cobweb designs, done by Wendy
Iris to bring out the Halloween theme in full effect.

"Just when I think I can't learn anything else, you come up with another fantastic show. Yeah, I get to try another new project. Ricky, you did a wonderful job. Margaret was an excellent teacher." - Sandra S.
"Another amazing show - a wonderful clear tutorial on reverse applique and Mola - then fun and useful exercises to finish. Fab!" - Pamela N.

"Mums" by Rose Sheifer
Using one of her mother's vintage tablecloths, amongst the many in her collection, Rose created her quilt Mums. The original tablecloth uses basically two colors, red and gray, but when combined together and printed it looks like there is so much more going on. With that thought in mind, Rose decided to bring more when she created the quilt using batiks to give it a completely different kind of look
