The Quilt Artistry of Linda Fisher exhibit will be on display at the Museum of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas from now through March 6, 2022. Linda Fisher was a prolific quilter beginning with her first quilt as an adult in 1994 and continuing through to 2019. She taught many in West Texas to quilt. As a member of both the Lubbock day quilt guild (The South Plains Quilt Guild) and the Caprock Art Quilters, she loved taking old blocks, and incorporating them into a new quilt using her own artistic twist on traditional quilt patterns. Take a look at a wide variety of some of those quilts here.

"Beauty Happiness, Family, Love began in a class with teacher Patricia McLaughlin where Diane learned to create a lifelike Japanese lady. From this, she created this beautiful and peaceful scene. She found patterns for the blocks from Kumiko Sudo’s Circles of the East with the Japanese symbols being found on the internet. This quilt was accepted into the International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2012."
