Corrections on Victoria Findlay Wolfe's Latest Exhibits
On Wednesday's LIVE, Alex talked with Victoria Findlay Wolfe (Show 2002) about her quilt exhibit, Victoria Findlay Wolfe: Now & Then, Playing with Purpose, at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. In the newsletter we had some incorrect information that we would like to fix. Victoria's Wisconsin exhibit runs through December 5, 2021, and the quilts she is currently making are being prepared for an exhibit at the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2024. Watch Alex's chat with Victoria below, and listen to Victoria discuss her latest exhibit more in depth from her Textile Talk last week.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: I See Fireworks
|
|
"Fireworks" by Cindy Grisdela
Fireworks is a quilt that Cindy made that allowed her to explore free-hand curves, blasts of color, and features lots of dense free-motion quilting. Cindy says, "Fireworks is a celebration of color and line, enhanced by dense stitching in a variety of motifs. The arcs and colors reminded me of sky lit up on the Fourth of July. All of my stitching is done freehand on the sewing machine, without a computer or other marking." Plus, all the thread colors match the fabric that they are quilted into.
See more of Cindy's quilts in How to Do an Improv Puzzle Quilt and Improv Curved Piecing with Cindy Grisdela.
