Featured Quilt - First Place Miniature at Houston 2022
Horseback Riding by Chiharu Takahashi won First Place in the Miniature category at the 2022 Houston International Quilt Festival. Chiharu's quilt was inspired by both the recent Tokyo Olympics and her experiences horseback riding as a child. She says, "Watching the dynamic performance of Jinba Ittai at the Tokyo Olympics, I remembered learning horseback riding when I was young and added that to the quilt."

Bedazzling Beads Become More Beautiful When Quilted
Colette Dumont’s quilts feature
thousands of beads and are known for their intricate beaded edgings. In the latest episode of The Quilt Show she shows you the ins and outs of selecting and purchasing beads as well as the tools needed. Then it's onto making a foundation fabric motif that becomes the base for attaching beads. She ends by sharing a sample of graduated bead motifs that become more and more complex as they grow in size.
