Feature Quilt - Judge's Choice Award at PIQF 2021

AIt is always nice to win an award or be celebrated for the hard work you put into making a quilt. It is even sweeter when it's for your first attempt at something, which was the case for Barbara Jones Jelicich and her quilt, Paradise, which was awarded Marjan Kluepfel's Judge's Choice Ribbon at PIQF 2021. Barbara says this was "My first full size quilt and color way by me." Longarm Machine Quilted by Kathleen Riggins, with both machine piecing and machine appliqué, one look at Barbara's quilt and you may just be transported to "paradise" yourself.

Carolina Quilts is one of two variations of a quilt that Lee designed "for Quilt Carolina, the shop hop covering the middle of NC." Lee was asked to a create a quilt that could represent the whole state, hence the two versions, and this one is the Carolina Crossroads version which represented the Triad area.
