Featured Quilt - First Place Abstract at Houston 2022
New Year's Eve by Judith Beaver won First Place in the Abstract category at 2022 Houston International Quilt Festival. The title of Judith's quilt does not refer to idea of New Year's Eve in general, but celebrating it in one place in particular. She says, "New Year’s Eve in Hawaii is an incredible experience. All night long, the air is filled with overhead aerials bursting into magnificent colors, and the smoke from firecrackers is thick in the air. All the neighbors are out in the street toasting one another and the new year. The next morning, all is silent, but the streets are littered with red paper left from the exploded
firecrackers."

Quilts From a Photographer's Eye View
Justin Shults took 1000 pictures for TheQuiltShow.com at
the Houston Quilt Show 2022. We wanted his choices for quilts that really stopped him in his tracks. We weren't after just the big winners, but ones that he found himself staring at. Justin shows us eight quilts and tells us what he loved about them.
Alex is LIVE TODAY, November 16, 2022 @ 10am PST, 1pm EST, and 6pm London time. All classes are recorded so they can be viewed later.
