Featured Quilt - A "Lady" To Pay Attention To
Lady Marmalade by Marilyn Badger was a semi-finalist in the Wall Quilts – Appliquéd Quilts category at the 2024 AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah. With a hand-dyed doily by Wendy Richardson as its central design, Marilyn's quilt cannot be done justice by pictures alone (but we can try using the pictures we have). With amazing machine appliqué, decorative stitching, hand embroidery, and a whole litany of other techniques Marilyn's quilt is sure to knock you off your feet.

"Pathways" by Mary Kerr
Dusty Farrell, who quilted Pathways and many other projects for Mary, teases Mary that she doesn't like him because she only gives him pink quilts to work on. So Pathways features a little touch of pink to continue the tradition and joke. When Mary finished the top for Pathways, she contacted Dusty about quilting it and voiced her concern that the vintage blocks and fragments from the 1900s that she used to create it were very fragile and might not withstand quilting. Dusty reassured her that he would put enough quilting on it that it would never fall apart.
