Featured Quilt - Hexies Everywhere You Look
We started to count the number of hexagons in this quilt, and then we gave up and decided to just enjoy its beauty. Kado, by Carmen Maria Cambronero of Canabria, Spain, is a lovely hexagon quilt that was on exhibit in the Small Wall Quilts - Stationary Machine Quilted category at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2024. Carmen's quilt consists of innumerable hexies all created using English Paper Piecing and hand piecing. Don't bother counting, just take a look.

Six Decades Worth of Stories To Be Told
Presented by the Quilt Alliance: "Join the Quilt Alliance for Textile Talks on Wed, May 22 at 2pm ET when we host Phyllis Michael Wong, author of We Kept Our Towns Going: The Gossard Girls of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Her 2023 award-winning book tells this seminal history through the voices of 100 women, assembly line workers who made bras, corsets and girdles. Their collective stories stitch together a fascinating history spanning almost 6 decades (1920-1976) including the creation of quilts from factory remnants. Phyllis will share images and stories from her research including the heart-warming story of the Gossard memorial quilt project."
