Featured Quilt - A Tribute To A Great

This year's Road to California quilt show featured a quilt made in tribute to someone near and dear to The Quilt Show's heart, Sue Garman. Sue was a guest twice on the show and was the designer of SEVEN of our exclusive Block Of The Month's. The quilt, A Rose for Sue - A Tribute by Joanne Sorrentino with quilting by Rose Bell, "pays homage to the late Susan H. Garman's iconic 'Bed of Roses' design, showcasing a labor of love and meticulous craftsmanship." We so appreciate this beautiful quilt, as we're sure all those who knew Sue would too. Thank you Joanne.

Food For Thought, and Food-Related Blocks, Await You

Two guests, one new and one returning, stop by The Quilt Show this Sunday to show you what goes on in their quilting world when they visit the set. Sue Sherman, our new guest, shows you how to achieve animal realism through various artistic methods to reflect her care and concern for the environment. Then Tracy Mooney, our returnee, stops by to give you the dish on the Potato Chip Block.

Watch Sue, and Tracy, in How to Paint with Thickened Dyes and Use Thread Painting with Sue Sherman | The Potato Chip Block with Tracy Mooney, when it debuts this Sunday, March 3, 2024.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Pine Cone Quilt For a Baby

"Veronica Ann" by Betty Ford-Smith

Betty says of Veronica Ann, "For this baby quilt, I incorporated used fabrics and spaced the rows of triangles further apart, making a much lighter quilt, weighing just seven pounds." The quilt is named after Betty's friend’s first granddaughter.
