Featured Quilt - A Sweet Treat For The Hot Season
As Summer draws near, so do those Summer mainstays. Swimming, playing outside, and enjoying a popsicle on a hot day. While we can't give you an actual popsicle, we can give you the next best thing (at least that's quilting related). Creamsicle Swirl by Kelly Spell won 2nd Place - Mid-Century Mod at the 2021 Virtual Spring Quilt Festival, which was made during a workshop with Patricia Belyea. "It is inspired by a relief sculpture at the TVA's Raccoon Mountain Pumped-Storage Plant. The circles and swirls are a nod to the plant's massive turbines and the water they pump from the Tennessee River."

"A new algorithm automates the notoriously complicated—and often frustrating—process of figuring out the order of steps in advanced quilting patterns."
How does it do it? Read on to find out!

The Quilt Show Puzzle: "I've Been Searchin' My Soul"
"Soul Searching"by Kathy Doughty
Kathy writes, "At some point in time we all start with a bit of a blank page. We start accumulating fabrics for a variety or reasons. Soon we have fabrics folded, stacked, jammed, shoved, drawered or shelved in baskets, boxes and bags. Every precious piece has meaning and we continue to hunt down every elusive bit we can to make up the perfect stash. Well...I say start using that stash!" And that's what she did with Soul Searching.
