Many quilts feature patches of fabric that aren't utilized to their best ability. But there are some quilters who have turned these empty spaces into works of art on their own. Life's Paths XXVI by Barbara Triscari won Best Use of Negative Space - Mid-Century Mod at 2021 Spring Quilt Festival for this very reason. Barbara says of the name, "We plan and try to make our path become what we dream, but circumstances vary the path." "An event that doesn't cause much of an effect on one path may completely veer another. Life is unpredictable."
