Featured Quilt - "...the result is Joy."
|
|
Following your instincts is really one of the most important lessons for a quilter. If it feels right for you, it is probably the right choice for the quilt you are making. Sometimes those choices are rewarded too, like they were for Karen K Stone (Show 1611). Her quilt, Fabricated, won 3rd Place - Traditional at the 2021 Virtual Spring Quilt Festival. Karen says of the quilt, "This piece embodies most all of what I love best about quilting. The traditional pieced block is appliquéd, the thrifted "silk" ties are mostly polyester, the formal quilting improvised, and nothing about this quilt is fashionable or on trend. But when we indulge in what we truly love, finding our way as we go, the inevitable result is joy."

Quilting Runs In The Family
"Sarah Bond.......wonderful show! Her family history segment gave me goosebumps. Thank you for having her on the show." - kathy iskow
Many quilters begin quilting because of their mother or their grandmother. Sarah Bond on the other hand had many family members who inspired her to take up the craft. Watch our new show and see as we take a look at Sarah’s ancestors and the quilts they made. There’s even one made by Jane from 1828 that she owns.
Learn from Sarah in Learn to Quilt in Monochrome and Technicolor with Sarah Bond.
