Featured Quilt - Second Place Small Wall Quilts: Quilter’s Choice at Paducah 2024

Convergence by Barbara Triscari and Christina McCann won Second Place - Small Wall Quilts: Quilter’s Choice (Sponsored by Martelli Enterprises) at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2024. While we don't know the exact inspiration behind Barbara and Christina's quilt, the blue-green colors remind us of ocean waves converging upon each other, our clue from the title, as they move back and forth across the sea.

See Cindy Wiens Go From Inspiration to Fabric

Take What You See and Turn It Into Your Next Great Quilt

Our new show features Cindy Wiens discussing the importance of being observant of patterns around you that can lead to a quilt design. Using the example of a design based on a linoleum floor pattern at her favorite Mexican restaurant, Cindy shows us how she determines the major lines to reveal the basic quilt elements - a square in a square.

Learn from Cindy, and Ricky Tims, by watching How to Turn a Photo Into a Quilt Design and Working with Solids with Cindy Wiens | Fringed Edge Finish with Ricky Tims.
