Featured Quilt - Chowing Down the Competition

Amish Chow Chow by Nancy Simmons won Third Place - Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted (sponsored by Husqvarna Viking) at AQS Quiltweek. Nancy's quilt is no slouch though, and has already racked up other awards too, including Best Pieced at the Vermont Quilt Festival (VQF) @Home 2021 Show and The BERNINA 1st Runner-Up Best of Show at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza National Quilt Competition 2021. As for Nancy's design process on this quilt, "My original design consisting of tiny blocks was inspired by the bright PA Dutch Colors found in the Hex signs and the vegetables and jars of colorful jams & relishes at the Amish farm markets in my area..."
