Continuing our coverage of the winners of the the International Quilt Festival's A Celebration of Color 2022, we present the Modern Prize Winner, Chroma Infinitum by Susan McKinney. Susan describes her work as, “Ordered chaos and infinite color. A promise of what lies beyond what is seen. Chroma Infinitum is paper-pieced in over 50 colors from 77 unique block templates. The tessellated triangles were digitally drawn, no two triangles alike, then quilted by machine.”

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Where Everything Grows Great
"Garden Party" by Amanda Murphy

Garden Party is a relatively recent quilt from Amanda, and features prints from her Frolic Collection of happy colored fabrics. When developing the line, she wanted the navy blue print that is used as the background for this quilt to be deep enough, but also vibrant enough, to contrast with the other elements in the quilt.
