Featured Quilt - Caryl's Done It Again!

Celebration #2 by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry was the Grand Prize Winner at the International Quilt Festival's A Celebration of Color 2022, the annual competition, "open to quilters working in any style who like to play with color to create a vibrant work". We feel that Caryl's summary of her quilt fits the competition theme to a tee, "This quilt is a celebration of pattern and color. The design grew out of a series of abstract sketches, loosely based on some original, spiral quilting patterns that I have used in many of my quilts."

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Make It Blue! Make It Pink!
"Blue Tulips on Pink Skies" by Sue Nickels

Blue Tulips on Pink Skies was machine quilted in a traditional style with feathers, stipple quilting, and curvy lines. Sue Nickels' quilting designs were inspired by Amish Bars quilts. Cotton fabric, thread, and cotton-blend batting were used to create this lovely quilt, which also appears on the cover of her book, Machine Quilting: A Primer of Techniques.
