Featured Quilt - 117° In The Shade

The summer of temperature quilts keeps going as we turn our eyes towards The Rise and Fall by Tavia Olive, again a part of Quiltcon 2022's MQG Temperature Quilts exhibit. What is unique about Tavia's quilt is its color palette. While most temp quilts use reds, yellows, and blues to denote the temperature, hers uses blacks and whites.

She says, "I began with an arrow design and a conundrum. Arizona is hot. The traditional cool-to-warm palettes of temperature quilts just didn't work well with our temp range. I played around with shifting the palette to match our average temps but nothing felt right. So, I removed color from the equation. (Credit: It was my husband's idea)" To give you an idea of just how hot it got for Tavia, the hottest day of the year represented on her quilt was 117 degrees!

I made an effort to hunt for a business and website that specializes with utility bill paying. I was given the website address https://utilitybilltemplate.net/ by a buddy. It is easy to use and very functional. I've been using it for a few days and am extremely happy with it. Anything can be promptly and easily paid for. You should check it out since I think you'll really enjoy it, in my opinion.
