Featured Quilt - One of the 100 Best Quilts of the Twentieth Century

Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry's quilt, Corona #2: Solar Eclipse, broke new ground when it won AQS: Best of Show 1989 in Paducah. In 1999, it chosen by Quilter's Newsletter Magazine and the International Quilt Festival, along with Quiltmaker and McCall's Quilting, to be one of the 100 best quilts of the twentieth century. This year The Quilt Show got to see the quilt in detail in all its glory which is impressive... and then we discovered the back is basically another quilt. What a great surprise! Enjoy these photos of the front and the back of the quilt.

Learn from Caryl right here on The Quilt Show by watching her in How to Do Applipiecing and a Studio Visit with Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry.

On The Set with Kellie Beckwith and Nancy Bavor

A "Traditional" Twist Is Heading Your Way

Two quilters arrive this Sunday sharing similar, yet different, sides of the same coin. The first, Kellie Beckwith, is here to show you how she redefines traditional quilt blocks in new ways. The other, Nancy Bavor, takes those original traditional quilt blocks and quilts and helps to assess their value in her position as a quilt appraiser. Get a sneak peek at what both are up to this week in our latest look behind the scenes.

Watch Kellie and Nancy in How to Use Crochet in Quilting and Frustration-Free Piecing with Kellie Beckwith | Appraising Quilts with Nancy Bavor, when it debuts this Sunday, July 14, 2024.
