The Quilt Alliance has conducted a brand new Quilters Save Our Stories (QSOS) interview with Merikay Waldvogel and Bets Ramsey, as part of the Textile Talks series.  Bets is a 98-year-old quiltmaker, writer, curator, educator and 2005 Quilters Hall of Fame honoree, and is best known for her documentation, teaching and curating work, but Merikay’s interview reveals what an accomplished and prolific artist Bets is (still).

Barbara says her version of Garden Party Down Under has her own personal "vibe" and she also incorporated some "Optional Alternative Techniques", like pieced borders instead of needle turn hand appliqué borders. These "Optional Alternative Techniques" are available on the site as Barbara has provided PDFs and videos if you'd like to try them as well.
