Featured Quilt - Don't Mess with This Dog
With an Attitude by June Jaeger was featured at the 2022 Houston International Quilt Festival. June, who has been a guest on The Quilt Show, loves to create animal portrait quilts and this one is no different. This time her inspiration was a dog, but not just any dog, specifically a horseshoer's dog.
She says, "I was impelled to make a quilt of the horseshoer's dog, capturing its expression and attitude. I painted the old rusty pickup bed on white fabric with Tsukineko inks, then fused the dog together applying him with raw-edge appliqué. I free-motion machine quilted this piece, allowing it to tell me what needed to be done. All in all, I can feel this dog warning me not
to touch his castle."

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Debby Schnabel has passed away. Debby, who was a guest
of The Quilt Show back in Series 1500, loved quilting and taught us about working in a series and how to incorporate hand embroidery into our work. But Debby also loved healthy eating too, and was a popular healthy-lifestyle blogger and shared her Debby Weighs In blogs with The Quilt Show.
In her memory, we are opening up her show for FREE so that everyone can see what an incredible person and quilter Debby was.
