Featured Quilt - A Thelma and Louise Adventure Inspires

Andrea Brokenshire won 1st Place Naturescape at Road to California 2022 with this stunning beauty of a Prickly Pear Cactus in full bloom, Desert In Spring.

Andrea writes: "My Mom and I embarked on an epic travel trip we named our "Thelma and Louise Adventure". In Palm Springs, CA we visited the Living Desert Botanical Garden. This quilt is inspired by one of the photographs I took that spring day of a Prickly Pear Cactus in full bloom. I loved the leathery texture of the cactus leaves (paddles) and the almost translucent citron yellow blossoms."

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Another Story Told
"Na’ahmah of the Ark" by Lisa Thorpe

Na’ahmah of the Ark is Lisa's quilt telling the story of Noah's wife. Based on a childern's story, her quilt explains how her role was as a seed gatherer, getting all the food for the animals on the ark to eat. This is Lisa's interpretation of what her part to play in the story would be.
